Tonight’s Shred was completed after my first Kettlebells class.
The class was hard work, but I think that because my body is getting stronger and more used to using weights I was able to cope much better that If I wasn’t.
I like the Kettlebells class because it incorporates lots of one minute exercises, so the time moves quickly. I used a 4kg Kettlebell and didn’t stop during the class (although at times I did want to) apart from the ‘floor work’.
The floor work consisted of sit ups and exercises similar to Jillian’s ‘Cycle Crunches’. But with a weight in tow!
Ouch! All I could hear was Jillian’s voice, ‘..that knot in your stomach.. It’s your body getting stronger!’ It did keep me going though.
Once home, Dave and I set up for the Shred and set to work.
I struggled but managed the workout.
Perhaps it will take some getting used to all this weights work, but I can both see and feel it making a difference.
I am hoping the Shred will be easier tomorrow, although judging how my thighs and hips feel, I am guessing it won’t!
